COURT JUSTICE: SYDNEY promised intrigue and a behind the scenes look inside one of Australia’s busiest courtrooms – and boy does it deliver.

Premiering on July 2, the series offers a fascinating glimpse inside the courtrooms of the Downing Centre in Sydney, following several magistrates as they deal with cases. We hear from those involved – the defendants, the witnesses, the magistrates and the police – as well as see what actually takes place within the courtroom.

“There’s nothing more real than what goes on in the courts,” says Deputy Chief Magistrate Christopher O’Brien in the first episode.

This is gripping true-life drama, and here’s what we learnt.
