OPTUS CELEBRATES PARTNERSHIP WITH FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 WITH NEW CAMPAIGN VIA RE, YES AGENCY, EMOTIVE AND UM

Optus - Network Motorsports Campaign
Motorsport remains an important sports vertical for Optus – notably through our association with the F1 via our ambassador partnership with Red Bull Reserve Driver and much-loved Australian sporting personality, Daniel Ricciardo. And with Supercars through our naming-rights partnership of Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU) and partnership arrangements with WAU team driver, Chaz Mostert.

In line with broader planning for advertising activity for FY24, we will be single-minded in our messaging and focus on our Motorsport properties. With a strong alignment between performance sport and network performance messaging, Optus 5G will be the focal message for this activity – giving us the opportunity to promote our position as ‘Australia’s Fastest 5G’ mobile network.

In addition, Optus will launch a major integrated campaign around the F1. This will include broadcast advertising on Channel 10 and Fox Sports featuring Optus Chief of Optimism Daniel Ricciardo and Mobil 1 Optus Racing driver Chaz Mostert; high impact out-of-home placements around Melbourne CBD promoting the Optus 5G network, advertising through Melbourne airport and across Optus branded retail stores, and having run an F1 ticket giveaway in the My Optus app.
