POPPY LOVE - HISTORY CHANNEL

SILVER PROMAX / BEST VISUAL FX AND COMPOSITING 2014

As part of Remembrance Day programming on the History Channel, my involvement as Head of Design was to create a memorable experience for our audience.

Our team created a series of abstract shapes, providing a contemporary perspective to our users. Poppies were used as an international symbol of the ANZAC soldiers,.

The 1 minute silence ident was created using a modern design using 3D printed technology allowing  the poppies to float on water.

The second promotional video involved creating the same poppy, made from paper allowing it to be folded so it could float through the air.

Objective: Introduce the Remembrance Wall & encourage social activity.

How: Designing hand-written notes evoking poppies in colour & shape.

Contemporary visual FX employed on set and in post.

Result: Highly effective in brand awareness & online traffic
